The gala committee for

fundraiser is pleased to
announce that former U.S.
Congressman Sonny
Callahan has agreed to serve
as this year’s honorary host.
The event is scheduled for
Saturday, Feb. 4, at the
Perdido Beach Resort in
Orange Beach from 7 to 11
p.m.
The band Urban Soul
will perform throughout
the evening.
“Almost every family I
know has been affected by
cancer,” Callahan said.
“What a wonderful opportunity
for our citizens to
support the medical
advancements and services
offered by the American
Cancer Society in an enjoyable
setting with their
friends and cancer survivors.”
Another addition to this
year’s event will be recognition
of the 12 cancer survivors
honored for their role
in the recent calendar
“Women of the Eastern
Shore.”
Local photographer
Stephen Savage donated his
time and services for the
calendar.
A limited number
of signed calendars will be
available during the silent

The live and silent auction
